We know how important it is for our students to find quality employment.

Whether you are looking for employment whilst studying, or thinking about life after graduation, we have information and signposting to support you.

If you need support with employability, the first thing you should do is book an appointment with the University’s careers advisor from the Careers and Employability Service. You can do this by visiting the myCareer service or by contacting Firstpoint.

During your appointment, you can ask about:

  • How to increase your employability

  • Take free psychometric tests to determine your learning styles, your career interests, and your readiness to enter employment.

  • Employability events, workshops, and careers fairs

  • How to write a CV, cover letter and where to search for jobs.

  • How to take part in the Worcester Award

  • What opportunities might be available you on your course. Ie. Paid placements, internships, and partner institutions

  • How to earn while you learn

Students' Union Employability Guide

In addition to the university services, the Students’ Union have created their own Employability Guide to help students recognise and apply the skills they have developed at university.

Student Staff Vacancies

The Students’ Union also have student staff opportunities requiring a range of skills and expertise. View our latest vacancies.

Volunteering

Volunteering is another great way to widen your skillset and boost your employability. Find out about volunteering opportunities at the Students' Union.

Join a Club or Society

Employers look for graduates with strong communication skills. Taking part in clubs and societies can increase your confidence and help you network with like-minded peers. Check out our clubs and societies to find a new activity to try!
